Today's journey was the sixth times i traveled back and forth from Perak to Kuala Lumpur; from completing the sponsorship matters to visa and lastly the pre-departure program. Alhamdulillah, Allah had set that my brother is free until after the raya celebration. so I have him to send me to KL every time. One would have thought that by this time, we should already mastered the route from Perak to KL, precisely to MARA headquarter.
Sadly to say, we did get lost trying to find the building this morning even when we can already see the SOGO supermaket. Wrong turn at one junction brought us back to Jalan Duta. Luckily, my brother knew how to turn back to Jalan Raja Laut. But, one thing crossed my mind all the way back home, even when we already know the route, we are bound to get lost whenever there are some changes and obstacles ahead of us in our said-to-be familiar road. Today, there were many road closed ( i assumed due to the jam in Jalan TAR) and because of that, we had to change our direction to different road. But our objective remains the same, to find Jalan Raja Laut on our way to KL and Jalan Duta on the way back.
Why am i telling this? Just a comparison to our life actually. In our life, the objective is still the same, the purposes of our life are to be a servant to our God; Allah and to be a caliph that rule the world so that all know and surrender to Allah, but sometimes, the route that we take might be different and we have to improvise as there will be obstacles and challenges ahead of us. Like what my brother said, whenever you are in KL and got lost, try to find Jalan Ampang as it is connected to most of the road in KL, basically it is the main road in KL. You can find your way back to your destination, inshaAllah and if you are trying to find a highway, look for Mahameru highway as it served almost the same purpose as the Jalan Ampang.
Same goes to us, whenever we are lost in making decision on how we are supposed to react on certain issues or we don't know where to refer to, always look back to our Deen, Islam. Our beloved Prophet, Nabi Muhammad s.a.w had left us with two things that he promised that we will not get lost if we stick to it; Al-Quran and As-Sunnah. That is our references, our Jalan Ampang and Mahameru Highway in our life ,whenever we are about to decide our direction of life, our decision on our problems and whenever we are lost. InshaAllah, He will always guide us out of our confusion if we really are sincere in finding our way to Him.
And hold fast, all together by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make his signs clear to you: that ye may be guided.
(Ali Imran; 3:103)
